Joseph Weinberg was an early investor in Bitcoin in 2010, which kickstarted my career in technology for financial inclusion. Joseph is currently building Shyft Network, a data attestation and identity framework, of which the first use cases are a tool for cryptocurrency exchange compliance, and a national identity stack for global governments. Joseph was previously Director at Coinsetter, Canada’s first cryptocurrency exchange, until its acquisition by Kraken in 2016. Joseph’s diverse experience also includes business development roles at Xtreme Labs and Pivotal, where he worked on some of the most-used mobile applications around the world today. Passionate about advancing mass-adoption of crypto and blockchain, Joseph also serves as an advisor to the OECD, the Financial Stability Board, and other regulatory bodies globally. Through his work at the OECD, Joseph is helping draft global policies for the G7 and G20 councils, and has written regulations in countries including Bermuda and Mauritius.
