Chief Economist in the Western Cape Government

Nezaam currently serves as the Chief Economist in the Western Cape Government, responsible for shaping economic strategy and policy.

Amongst others, Nezaam currently holds a MSc in Economic Policy from the University of London and a MBA from the University of Cape Town.

He has more than 17 years’ experience in Banking, Investment Banking, long-term savings and payment systems spanning diverse domains from ICT and business architectures, financial risk management to financial product development in South Africa and Europe.
