Senior Associate, Corporate Tax at Bowmans

Rob is an attorney in the Tax practice group at Bowmans. Rob handles a wide variety of matters, involving transactional and non-transactional aspects of corporate tax. His practice includes advising on the taxation of mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructurings, funding arrangements, employee incentive schemes and the establishment of business presences in South Africa. He has a particular interest in the fintech and technology sectors, and he has been advising on the tax and exchange control aspects of blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies since 2018. Rob also has an interest in, and experience advising on, the taxation of financial instruments, funding structures in general, and social impact investment structures.

Rob holds B.Bus.Sci (Law) and LL.B degrees from the University of Cape Town, a LL.M degree from the University of Chicago, and a PG Dip (Tax Law) degree from the University of Johannesburg.
