Ajit currently leads institutional growth and strategy for Aave, the world’s leading decentralised liquidity protocol with over 5 billion in assets and borrowings. Using public blockchain technology, Aave creates significant opportunities for financial institutions to enhance market transparency, market efficiency, financial inclusion and systemic risk reduction. The last five years of his career have been devoted to building bridges between financial institutions and the digital assets ecosystem. This includes building banking and payments rails for Binance and Paxful, advising several crypto startups, driving the buildout of the fintech practice for ConsenSys and building the UK Blockchain Business for PwC. Clients he have served include We.Trade, Komgo, Nasdaq, Deutsche Bourse, MUFG and BBVA. He’s also the crypto co host of Breaking Banks Fintech podcast and a columnist for Coindesk.
