As Chief Commercial Officer BlockTower, Aleks Andjelopolj, brings 20 years of experience in Financial Services, focusing on investment platforms, financial infrastructure, cryptocurrency product development, and emerging capital markets.

BlockTower issues regulated stablecoins and the embedded wallet infrastructure that turns partner platforms into payment businesses. It is a licensed CASP and Cat I FSP (FAIS), with reserves at Standard Bank and Absa, attested monthly by Moore Johannesburg. Shareholders include Luno Global and Sanlam.

Prior to his role at BlockTower, Aleks led multi-disciplinary teams in developing Luno’s core digital asset product suite for retail, pro trading and institutional markets.

Before joining Luno, Aleks was at the forefront of product development and innovation at INN8, a B2B2C adviser, wealth and investment platform. His career also includes senior stockbroking roles at Renaissance Capital and Merrill Lynch Bank of America, where he executed capital raises and IPOs across Africa.

Aleks holds an MBA and a Bachelor of Business Science from the University of Cape Town, part time completed at Kellogg School of Management, Chicago, and resides in Cape Town, South Africa.
