Anushka Soma-Patel is a recognized leader in blockchain-based digital identity and self-sovereign identity solutions. Since 2018, Anushka has been pioneering advancements in digital identity, aiming to create a more equitable and secure digital future. As an ambassador for the Global Acceptance Network (GAN), she plays a key role in governing decentralized digital trust infrastructure. Anushka also serves as Co-Chair of the South African Financial Blockchain Consortium (SAFBC) Identity Working Group and is the lead writer for the AUDA-NEPAD Blockchain Report. Additionally, she is a guest lecturer on blockchain for the University of Cape Town’s Fintech Program and actively contributes to the South African National Blockchain Alliance (SANBA), the BankservAfrica Digital Identity Project, and the Trust over IP Foundation.
