Managing Executive: Enterprise Payments at TymeBank

Chris Becker is an economist turned digital banker.

His role at TymeBank, South Africa’s first Cloud-based bank, affords him deep insight into cutting-edge digital banking and payments governance.

Chris has also participated in several ground-breaking initiatives employing blockchain in modern banking and payment services.

Notably, he led the development of a custody system for digital assets at Investec, which was accepted into the IFWG Regulatory Sandbox in 2021. He has worked on blockchain and crypto projects for the Bank for International Settlements, SARB, the World Economic Forum and BankservAfrica.

Chris is also a partner at Etherbridge, a Mauritius-regulated crypto asset investment fund.
