Throughout his career, Jason has focused on using technology to solve financial services challenges for underserved communities. As Senior Director of Payments at Wal-Mart Stores, he led initiatives including the largest private-sector payroll card program in the U.S. He also had global responsibility for the company’s store-branded gift card programs, which grew to over $12 billion in annual volume and expanded to China, India, Mexico, and Central America.
Previously, Jason served as VP of Product Management at First Data, where his team grew a suite of ACH products from $140 million to $210 million in annual revenue. As VP of Emerging Technologies at InComm, he worked closely with the executive team to shape the company’s long-term mobile payments and crypto strategies.
A product manager at heart, Jason values the insights gained from various innovative yet ultimately unsuccessful projects, including multiple attempts to disrupt the remittance industry.
Jason holds a B.A. in Business & Spanish from Texas A&M University and an MBA from the Yale School of Management. Based in Dallas, Texas, he spends about 25% of his time visiting different markets across Africa.
