Rikki leads FirstRand’s Blockchain Enabler, a team established to advance the group’s strategic imperatives through the adoption of distributed ledger technologies and digital assets.

Rikki has over two decades’ experience in various roles across Life Insurance, General Insurance, and Banking. He qualified as a fellow of the Institute of Actuaries in 2005 and is a Certified Financial Planner®. Rikki is a graduate of the University of Nicosia’s Masters in Blockchain & Digital Currencies program, summa cum laude. His passion lies at the intersection of innovation and finance, where he aims to integrate the strengths of established systems with the potential of emerging technologies.
