Tertius Troost

Associate Director Tax Consulting at RSM South Africa

Tertius is an Associate Director in the Corporate Tax Consulting division based in Cape Town.

He has over a decade of experience in tax, where he has developed a particular focus on international taxation and complex corporate tax matters. During his career, Tertius has advised a broad range of local and multinational clients on cross-border structuring, corporate reorganisations, tax risk management and strategic tax planning.

Tertius holds a Masters Degree in Accounting (Taxation) from Stellenbosch University and an LLM in International Tax from King’s College London.

In addition to his client responsibilities, Tertius contributes to the advancement of the tax profession through his involvement on the SAICA National Tax Committee and as a guest lecturer on the Stellenbosch University Master’s in Taxation programme. These roles enable him to engage with tax policy developments, collaborate with industry stakeholders and assist in developing the next generation of tax professionals.
