Wiehann joined Mazars in 2010 after completing his Accounting Degree at the University of Stellenbosch he then obtained his Honours Degree in Accounting and Auditing from the University of South Africa and qualified as a Chartered Accountant (SA) in 2014.

After completing his articles in 2013 at Mazars, Wiehann joined the Maitland Group’s Private Equity and Real Estate division. He re-joined Mazars in 2014 as Audit Manager, where after he gained international experience working abroad in the Audit department of Mazars New York. Wiehann was promoted to Senior Audit Manager in 2017 and to Partner in 2018.

During 2020 Wiehann completed a Blockchain Technologies: Business Innovation and Application course through Sloan School of Management at MIT.

Wiehann’s responsibilities include ensuring the overall quality of assurance engagements, staff management and development and business development. He services a large portfolio of clients in various industries including cryptocurrencies that includes the likes of Revix and Luno. Within Mazars he has built sector specialism and expertise to provide businesses in the crypto sector with audit, tax, accounting and advisory services. His pragmatic approach for the application of traditional regulating frameworks on digital assets allows Mazars to add value to these businesses and provide stakeholders with the quality assurance represented by the Mazars brand.
